Monotech Systems installs first Jetsci VSRI unit in India
Monotech Systems has successfully installed its first Jetsci VSRI at a security printer’s facility, with the second press in the process of being installed.
Jetsci VSRI is designed for label and security printing jobs such as tax stamps, and comprises a slitter, rewinder, UV inkjet printing system, UV curing, camera inspection and verification system. Variable data printed on each label gets verified by the camera inspection system.
Jetsci VSRI was launched at Labelexpo India 2014, and these orders were booked during the show.
Monotech Systems has also installed a total of 18 Jetsci inkjet VDP monochrome machines. Of these, 14 were installed during the 2014-15 financial year.
T P Jain, Monotech Systems managing director, said: ‘We feel proud to be a part of ‘Make in India’ campaign initiated by the Prime Minister of India. We are very overwhelmed by the way we have placed the JetSci product in Indian market.’
Monotech Systems exported its first JetSci VDP machine to Nigeria in October 2014, and Jain added: ‘We are exploring opportunities in growing markets such as the Middle East, Gulf, South East Asia and Africa. However, the Indian market is huge and is growing so a lot can be done here also.
‘To cater to the market, we also need to have a high quality and consistent product. Having done some successful installs, we need to speed up production to get to the market and showcase our ability.’
Further, Monotech Systems has installed more than 15 Scodix digital enhancement presses across India, and is expecting to install one Highcon digital cutting and creasing system in the first quarter of the 2015-16 financial year. Monotech Systems added the Highcon Euclid digital cutting and creasing machine to its portfolio last summer.
‘I see that the whole concept of product enhancement using digital technology is catching up in India,’ Jain concluded. ‘People are appreciating the value that digital add to their operations. For instance, we see that our Scodix customers are getting more volume jobs. Thus, we are encouraging more customers to look at digital options.’
