Stickershop installs Titanium 330-R reel-to-reel label cutter

UK-based web-to-print self-adhesive labels manufacturer Stickershop has invested in an IGS Titanium 330-R reel-to-reel label cutter to increase its production capabilities due to high demand for core labels.

Established in 2017, Stickershop is a web-to-print self-adhesive labels and sticker manufacturer based in Bristol, UK. The company has been growing steadily year-on-year and now employs twelve people.

Stickershop production floor includes nine Roland printers, a Titanium 2516 digital cutter supplied by International Graphics Supplies (IGS) in 2021, six Graphtec cutters and a Ricoh digital production color printer.

Shane Pritchard, director of Stickershop, said: ‘We had looked at a range of label cutting machines, including laser cutting, but after thorough testing, and visiting an existing Titanium 330-R user, we decided that the Titanium 330-R meet and exceeded our requirements. We have been delighted with the performance and reliability of the Titanium 2516, so it was a very easy decision to partner with IGS for a reel-to-reel cutter.

‘Our customers expect quality, and they want fast turnaround times at affordable pricing. The Titanium 330-R has been integrated into our workflow using bespoke software, developed in-house by fellow director, Callum Baker. This takes all our jobs from order to dispatch via proof approval, imposition, printer selection and cutting by simply using a barcode code scanning system. This level of automation makes us very efficient in processing large amounts of daily orders.’

The Titanium 330-R targets the label market with an all-in-one digital label cutter that digitally die-cuts, cold laminates, removes the excess label material around each cut shape and slits, offering everything required to professionally cut and finish labels.

The auto deviation correction ensures neat and precise feeding into a cold laminating function in a single pass. Eight automatic alignment cutting heads produce a cutting speed of up to 12 m/min with a maximum cutting size of 330 x 1,000 mm.

The finished product is automatically collated into a roll and nine slitting knives cut at 60 m/min with waste removed. If required, the roll can be cut to sheet form.
