Textape adds second Lemorau finishing machine

US converter adds Lemorau MICR modular finishing machine with a range of add-ons

American converter Textape has acquired a second Lemorau MICR 330 label finishing machine to increase production capacity.

‘After meeting with Lemorau at the Labelexpo in Chicago, we bought our first label finishing machine from them in 2021,’ said Doug Scott, president at Textape. ‘Our label output improved dramatically and it wasn’t long before we decided to order another one! So, we recently installed our second Lemorau label finishing machine and we couldn’t be happier with its performance!’

Completely servo motored and reaching a maximum speed of 200m a min, the Lemorau MICR is modular finishing machine with a range of add-on possibilities.

For this project, the Lemorau MICR was developed in 330mm web width and already included, as standard features, electronic web guide, electronic counter, 250 job memory for job set-ups, air trim removal and QRC software (quick remote connection - for fast and easy access to the machine remotely).

The American converter, based in El Paso, chose to add an adapted unwinder to fit 1m diameter rolls, clear on clear sensor, semi-automatic turret rewinder and 100 percent video inspection.

It can also incorporate many other optional features such as corona treatment, lamination station, web cleaner, extra space for inkjet carriable data, die-cutting unit, anvil roll with adjustable gap, easy strip waste rewinder and razor slitting knives.

With this second Lemorau MICR, Textape also installed a Lemorau CTA1500 semi-automatic core cutter
