Japan’s Sanki looks to international growth

Sanki, a Japanese label press manufacturer, is looking to extend its global reach after selling 180 presses in its home market and South East Asia over the last two years.

The Baby-200 features as standard a web guide system, twisted plate correction system, ink wash-up and UV curing

Exhibiting at Gulf Print & Pack 2015 with a Baby-200 4-color intermittent web-fed letterpress, Sanki has seen a steady flow of visitors to its stand with interested parties from across the MENA region.

The Baby-200 features as standard a web guide system, twisted plate correction system, ink wash-up and UV curing, with a print register check camera, second pass function, magnetic cylinder die-cutting, flatbed die-cutting unit and lamination unit available as options. It prints at 25m/min.

Sanki sales and marketing executive Hiroei Konjiki said the company has seen strong sales in recent years, both in its home market and across South East Asia, but is now looking beyond its established borders.

‘Intermittent feeding is a relatively new type of technology for this region's market, but is a viable alternative to digital for short-run printing. We are educating the market about this technology, and looking to extend our presence into the MENA region.’
