Nashua acquires security solutions provider

Nashua Corporation, a premier manufacturer and marketer of pressure-sensitive labels, thermal specialty papers and imaging products, has acquired the assets of Computer Imaging Supplies Inc. (CIS), a privately held $6 million per year manufacturer and marketer of proprietary security products for the point-of-sale (POS) transaction industry, and inkjet and toner cartridges, for an undisclosed amount. CIS will continue to operate from its Plymouth, Massachusetts location. Nashua will take over full converting responsibility and will begin offering the CIS product line nationwide. CIS has a close working relationships with a number of leading retailers.

CIS security products include multicolor ribbon and specialized inks that prevent unauthorized duplication of receipts as well as ink jet and toner cartridge products that complement Nashua’s current offerings. Nashua’s products include thermal coated papers, pressure-sensitive labels, copier papers, bond, point of sale, ATM and wide format papers, entertainment tickets, as well as toners and developers and ribbons for use in imaging devices.
