AKO launches PET ultra-thin liner material

Compared with the traditional 60g liner, this material is consisted of 30g glassine liner, making the thickness from 23um to 12um and providing more labels in each roll.

‘The main function of the liner is to protect the glue during transportation. The thinner the liner, the lower the raw material cost, transportation fees and waste. Our new material can help customer increase efficiency by 20 percent and expand their revenue by 30-40 percent,’ Emma Zhang, market manager of AKO, explained. ‘In addition, this material can be recycled, which meets the increasing environmental demands in the label industry.’

At present, AKO plans to apply this new material to blank sticker label and will gradually promote it to the wider market.

‘AKO has made rapid progress since 2010. In China, we have eight production and manufacturing bases with Shanghai as the center,’ Zhang said. ‘As a first-time Labelexpo Europe exhibitor, we are trying to broaden our global business. Some potential foreign clients have visited our stand. The show has exceeded our expectations.’
