Atlantic Zeiser introduces Digiline Vario

Digital printing specialist Atlantic Zeiser has launched Digiline Vario, its first system for full-color in-line printing of flexible narrow web materials such as foils for lidding applications or flexible laminates for pouching or tube converting applications to manage small batches economically.

The new Digiline Vario capitalizes on the advantages of on-demand printing and late-stage customization for web materials. For widely used packaging processes such as pouches, stand-up pouches, flow wraps, and stick packs, it reduces or eliminates the expensive storage of pre-printed material variants. 

Users can benefit from greater flexibility and agility since even small batches can be printed efficiently and visually appealing with reduced time to market. 

The new machine is available as an in-line and near-line version to allow integration of the Digiline Vario into existing systems and processes. An offline version (roll to roll) is also available. 

Thanks to the ProFlo inkjet technology, the new machine achieves vivid colors and high printing quality even for small design details such as graphics, fonts, coding, and serialization. The associated curing technology also reduces energy consumption. 

The Digiline Vario features a pre-validated package comprising printing and inspection units sharing the same end-to-end PDF workflow. There is no need to generate a reference image as the inspection is based on the original file and encompasses the entire print image, printed data, codes, grading and colors. The OptiMate HMI provides structured, intuitive user guidance, reducing the orientation period.
