EMT International expands Chameleon’s width

Chameleon RFX roll-to-roll winders are now manufactured at 23in web as standard.

EMT International, a finishing equipment supplier to the digital print, label and packaging industries, has announced its Chameleon RFX roll-to-roll rewinders and unwinders web widths are now designed standard at 23in (584mm).

Previously standard at 22in (558mm), the increase was made in response to customer requests, as many integrated inkjet presses are configured for 23in webs. The Chameleon RFX roll-to-roll rewinders and unwinders can also be customized with larger 30in (762mm) and 42in (1066mm) web widths.

Additionally, upgrades for higher speeds up to 1,000fpm can be made on EMT Chameleon RFX rewinders and unwinders in-field, minimizing production downtime.

EMT offers optional equipment data connectivity that can integrate with a customer’s existing data collection system or EMT’s third-party products to track operational performance and defect production in real-time.

‘EMT International continually innovates new solutions through close collaboration with our customers and partners,’ said Jordan Geurts, vice president of technology and solutions at EMT International. ‘We listened to their needs to accommodate an increased 23in web width and responded by making it standard.

‘Delivering premium roll quality from our Chameleon RFX rewinders is also a high priority for EMT. We can accommodate heavy and coated substrates and are open to customizing the machines to meet changing demands in transactional, publishing, and direct mail applications. Customers also appreciate the robustness of our winders and lower total cost of ownership.’
