Faller Packaging launches leaflet label with index
Faller Packaging, a specialist company for pharmaceutical packaging, has launched a package leaflet with an index to tackle the problem of confusing, long and difficult to understand medical information.
Pharmaceutical manufacturers are required by law to provide their customers with comprehensive information on each product. Most of the data is printed on the package leaflet – however, the sheer volume of data often makes these leaflets confusing for users. Small font sizes that are difficult to read and complicated folds make them challenging to use, especially for older patients.
Faller Packaging’s new product comes with a handy index. It can be printed with the headings required by the European Union, for instance – what the medication is used for, how to take it, dosage, side effects, storage and packaging contents, in individual sections or customized to match the customer’s requirements.
‘Faller Packaging has designed the package leaflet to fit perfectly into various pharmaceutical packages. The new solution also integrates smoothly into existing packaging lines,’ said the company in a statement.
The leaflet is compliant with EU Directive 2004/27/EC, manufacturing is carried out in accordance with GMP (German Medicinal Products Act) and FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) guidelines, and is DIN ISO 9001-certified.
