Polytex introduces a new set of flexo, soft-touch coatings for packaging, cartons

The coatings are designed to provide a tactile feel while offering comparatively durable product-resistance properties.

To the touch, these coating for folding carton stock and most flexible packing substrates, have a soft, velvety feel and a satin-to-matte appearance. The coatings can be altered to create a variety of feels, from a “rubbery grip” to a softer, “slipperier” feel with a more velvet-like appearance.

The coatings are available in both water based and UV curable versions that offer resistance to soft coatings, which traditionally have been susceptible to burnishing and scuff.
