Ritrama launches eco-friendly adhesive materials

Italian self-adhesive materials manufacturer Ritrama has unveiled a new series of materials, designed to aid recycling and answer increasingly stringent legislative objectives.

The new series of self-adhesive materials consists of glass and PET versions

Labels and adhesives are still listed among the main obstacles to effective packaging recycling. Both, if not properly treated or recovered, highly decrease the effectivity of the process.

The new series of self-adhesive materials, code-named RI-Move, has been developed to meet the most requirements for recycling and packaging reuse. It consists of glass and PET versions, both featuring technology that ensures the maximum adhesion during the product's life cycle as well as fast and clean removal of the label during industrial washing with alkaline solution.

The glass series utilizes AR816 and WR40 adhesives combined with film and paper materials, while the PET version uses AR842. These materials have been designed to remain adherent to the sticker without leaving any contaminants as well as allowing easy segregation during the hot alkaline bath for the ease of recycling.
