Sun Chemical introduces SunLit Crystal offset ink
Sun Chemical has launched SunLit Crystal, a sheetfed offset process ink.
SunLit Crystal is based on a high proportion of renewable raw materials which contributes to environmental sustainability. It is also fully aligned with the measures of print standardization (ISO 12647:2).
SunLit Crystal is based on organic vegetable-based raw materials which are renewable. Sun Chemical told L&L that the renewable content of the product line ranges between 75-82 percent depending on the color (the pigment content will differ). This raw material composition has been independently tested and certified by Napim (National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers) as 80 in its BRC (Bio-Renewable Content) Index.
Dr Bernhard Fritz, product manager sheetfed systems Europe, said: ‘The feedback we’ve received from our beta customers has been positive, with responses such as “excellent lithographic performance” and “very good optical properties”. We know there is a demand for this product from our ongoing R&D and we’ve received high interest in this ink from Latin America as well as Asia.’
