Zeller+Gmelin adds Uvalux P5
Zeller+Gmelin is to introduce its new Uvalux P5 sheet-fed UV ink system at Print UV 2015, taking place March 3-5 in Las Vegas.
The new sheet-fed UV ink system includes both process inks and a comprehensive blending system which has been specifically developed to integrate into Zeller+Gmelin's ChromaSync 20:20 color management system. This provides printers with a comprehensive tool set in order to handle all of their ink and color requirements, Zeller+Gmelin said.
Low migration and LED versions of Uvalux P5 are currently in beta testing and are expected to join the product line later this year.
Zeller+Gmelin said Uvalux P5 inks have been developed to fulfill one of its primary objectives – to provide the best overall performance in every print category where it sells inks.
Catering to commercial, packaging, and specialty converters and printers, Print UV is the first industry event focused exclusively on the UV printing market. 2015 is the eighth edition of the conference, and is supported by the likes of KBA, Flint Group, Eagle Systems, INX International and Actega Kelstar, Komori, Fujifilm and Zeller+Gmelin.
Damon Geer, vice-president of sales in North America at Zeller+Gmelin, said: ‘The Print UV conferences have become the pre-eminent forum for the energy curing printing industry and we are proud to be part of them since their inception. We can't think of a better location to introduce what we believe will become the industry standard for sheet-fed UV printing inks.’
Les Watkins, product manager at Zeller+Gmelin, added: ‘In a head to head comparison conducted by a major printer between six of the best known UV ink producers in the world, Uvalux P5 equalled or bettered the competition in all five performance categories used to judge the inks – hence the suffix P5.’
