Omet's commitment to Asia honored

Labelexpo Asia celebrated its 10^th anniversary in 2013 with a record-breaking show, and Omet has been an ever-present since it started. Its presence has included having a machine at each show, with an XFlex X2 on display in 2013.

Omet stated that it is ‘highly committed’ to the Asian market, and has continued to invest in production, sales, personnel, events and advertising, with its participation at Labelexpo Asia a strategic decision.  

Omet Suzhou Mechanical Co. Ltd, located in Wujiang, was created to offer the production and sale of motion systems, local sales and service staff to serve the printing and tissue converting markets, and offer punctual pre- and post-sale service.

The Italian press manufacturer added that it was doubly pleased with the award, presented at a gala dinner during Labelexpo Asia, as 2013 marked Omet’s 50^th anniversary.

Marco Calcagni, Omet sales director, said: ‘We were pioneers in China at the end of the last century when we opened an office in Shanghai, and we still believe in the potential of the Chinese market for our business.

‘That’s why we keep investing in Asia and we recently built up a new technology center exhibiting Omet machines 365 days a year and available for demos and testing.’
