Dscoop has named Kathy Popovich as its new North American director to lead the organization’s operations and activities in the region.
Popovich brings more than two decades of professional experience in both agency and corporate organizations to her new role at Dscoop. Known for her focus on strategic planning, she has consistently helped the companies she has served meet their business goals and objectives. Over the past decade she has held senior leadership and executive roles, blending strategy, creativity and collaboration across disciplines to deliver results.
As North American director Popovich will lead the effort to build the new Dscoop organization in the region, while working with EMEA and APJ region directors to formalize global initiatives. In her new role, Popovich will also take the lead in building Dscoop’s global partner program, developing a value proposition that will ensure their integral participation with Dscoop in the years to come. Popovich will report to John Rogers, global executive director of Dscoop, and the North America board of directors.
‘I am pleased to welcome someone of Kathy’s business acumen and passion for innovation to Dscoop,’ said Rogers. ‘Kathy’s broad experience, having worked with enterprise organizations and large brands as well as small businesses and start-up brands, is an excellent fit to our future development needs. We are looking forward to working with her to further Dscoop’s agenda as the kind of resource our community needs in a constantly evolving business and technology environment.’
Popovich is well acquainted with Dscoop, as a former member of the organization’s marketing committee, and as a colleague of Jay Dollries, Dscoop North American board chair, while serving as the marketing and communications director of Dscoop member ILS. Most recently, she was CMO at Prolanthropy, a management services firm providing turn-key foundation management services for marquee professional athletes nationwide.
‘As Dscoop has just celebrated its 10th year in existence, our focus will be on creating a roadmap for the future success of this dynamic and ever-evolving user community,’ concluded Popovich.
