Kevin Clunie named Appvion’s president

Clunie has been promoted to president after previously holding the role of director of sales.

Appvion, a provider of direct thermal films, has promoted Kevin Clunie, its director of sales, to president.

Clunie, who joined Appvion about three months ago, has over two decades of experience in the pressure-sensitive and plastics industry. He has previously worked for Mactac as vice president of sales and marketing, at Avery Dennison as marketing director and product manager at GE Plastics.

‘Having been a customer of Appvion for many years, I am grateful to have been asked to lead such a talented team whose members I have seen firsthand deliver at the highest level. It's a fascinating time for our industry in terms of growth, a changing regulatory landscape and the need for high-performance phenol-free thermal chemistry to enable disruptive applications such as linerless and RFID.

'This being a Labelexpo year for North America means I am very much looking forward to meeting with many partners next month in Chicago to continue those conversations,’ commented Clunie.
