Koenig & Bauer makes leadership changes

The Supervisory Board of Koenig & Bauer has appointed Dr Andreas Pleßke to the position of chief executive officer with effect from January 1, 2024.

Dr Pleßke has been a Koenig & Bauer’s Management Board member since 2014 and a spokesman for the management board responsible for the special segment since 2021.

At the same time, Dr Stephen Kimmich, who has been chief financial officer since 2020, has also been appointed deputy chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2024.

There are no changes to the responsibilities of the other members of the management board, Christoph Müller (responsible for the digital and webfed segment), Ralf Sammeck (responsible for the sheetfed segment) and Michael Ulverich (COO).

Similarly, the contract durations continue to apply unchanged. The supervisory board has not taken any further decisions regarding the composition of the management board.

Prof Dr Ing Raimund Klinkner, chairman of the supervisory board, said: “Dr Pleßke and Dr Kimmich have successfully guided the company with their colleagues over the past few years, some of which have not been easy, and have set a decisive course for the future. I am therefore delighted that this decision will now strengthen both key positions and the roles of the two Management Board members.’
