Sandon makes appointments as it pursues growth in 2018

Franz originally qualified as an electronics engineer and has since performed a variety of roles in the industry, including field sales, anilox technical consultant, export manager and sales director. His professional experience includes positions at Praxair, Kurt Zecher and TeroLab Surface.

Based in Germany, Franz will support the Sandon Global brand across the region and manage the extensive anilox sales network. Sandon Global export manager Stuart Mitchell said: ‘Michael brings specialist knowledge of the flexographic print industry spanning over 25 years.

‘Undoubtedly our customer base will benefit from Michael’s ability to understand the technical aspects and manage projects effectively. He has a record for delivering customized solutions which is invaluable in our industries ever increasing search for innovation coupled with production efficiency.’

Baines takes up a new position at Sandon Global, which provides its UK customers with a free anilox audit that includes a detailed report capturing volume checks and drawdown performance. Hands-on fault finding, maintenance support and training days will also be delivered at customer sites.

Baines said: ‘I am really looking forward to visiting our customer sites and utilizing my print knowledge; to get the best out of the Sandon Global anilox technology.’
