ScanSource Europe Partner Tour announced

ScanSource Europe has announced its Partner Tour which will run over four locations in 2008, stopping off in Benelux and the UK in May, then moving on to France and Germany in October.

As well as a vendor exhibition area featuring working solutions from hardware manufacturers, ScanSource has invited software partners to demonstrate their solutions in a special software area. The event is not just for managers. ScanSource has enlisted well-known trainers to provide training sessions for resellers’ sales teams. ‘We’re telling our customers to bring their sales staff for the day,’ said managing director Xavier Cartiaux. ‘They’ll benefit from the knowledge of a respected sales trainer, who will help them build strategic partnerships and explain how they can offer value to their customers.’

The events will close with an evening activity, with entertainment and lots of networking opportunities. For the evening, resellers can sign up additional employees to attend – the rest of their sales team, or even their non-sales staff. ‘We’re giving resellers the chance to network with all of their most significant channel contacts – local vendor representatives, ISVs, ScanSource management and local Account Managers – at the same time,’ explained Cartiaux. ‘We want resellers to bring their whole companies, so as many of their employees as possible can benefit from this opportunity.’

The Partner Tour marks a change in strategy for ScanSource, according to Cartiaux: ‘Instead of doing lots of smaller single vendor events in each territory, we decided to do one large event with all our vendors under one roof. This makes going to an event much more efficient for our resellers, as they only have to be out of the office for one day.’ ScanSource is anticipating a minimum of 150 participants at each event.

The Benelux event will take place at the Evoluon in Eindhoven on 14th May, with the UK following a week later at the Williams F1 Conference Center in Oxfordshire on the 21st. Dates and locations for the French and German events will be confirmed soon. The Partner Tour will stop at additional locations in the future.
