Antalis, a distributor of UPM Raflatac paper in the UK and Ireland, has refreshed and extended its digital label portfolio, adding four new, dry toner approved products to its range.

Items within the range now boast the innovative StaticOut feature, developed for reducing the effects of static electricity.

The company expanded its portfolio with the UPM Raflatac Digital Classic Laser, a white, narrow-ribbed, wet-strength paper that is alkali resistant and mold proof, suitable for wine and beverage and general product labels. It is suitable for dry toner, HP Indigo, flexo, offset, letterpress and screen printing.

Another new product in the range is Raflatac Digital Kraft Brown, a standard-ribbed, machine-glazed, brown kraft paper made with long-fiber, resinous pulp. Its authentic, vintage look makes it suitable for wine and beverage labelling. Kraft Brown is designed for offset, HP Indigo and laser dry toner printing methods.

The company also added the Raflatac Digital Polylaser Matt White, which is now available as extra permanent, heat-stabilized, matt coated polyester film designed for laser printed film labels, with variable information. It is ideal for uses where strong adhesion is required, such as product and logistic labelling and outdoor applications. It is resistant to water, oil and chemicals, and has excellent tolerance to temperature and humidity fluctuations. Thanks to the pre-treatment, it is printable by all common printing methods such as dry toner, HP Indigo, letterpress, flexo, screen and offset.

The last new product, which will be available from February is Raflatac Digital Naturl, a 100 percent recycled, eco-friendly product for multipurpose labelling. Awarded four stars on Antalis' Green Star System, the product it is ideal for direct mail retailing, business forms, shipping labels and more. Suitable for dry toner, HP Indigo, offset, flexo and screen print.

UPM Raflatac is such a great product and continues to be a hugely popular brand thanks to its wide choice of labels for all nature of applications,’ commented Tim Percival, category director for office and digital at Antalis. ‘Printed samples showcasing the new products are now available, and we will be adding these to our award-winning Digibox reference tool for digital print.’
