Parkside compostable packaging recognized for supply chain awards

Parkside’s compostable packaging for the tea company Bird & Blend’s single-serve tea bags, loose tea pouches and pyramid teabags, has been selected in the sustainable materials category for the Supply Chain Excellence award.

The packaging developed by Parkside helped Bird & Blend move its full range of tea to a fully accredited compostable packaging design, further supporting the company’s long-term sustainability goals.   
 
Staci Bye, sales account manager at Parkside, said: ‘Sustainability remains king in the eye of the consumer, and applying this across the supply chain is vital to align with their expectations. For Bird & Blend, moving to compostable packaging was the next step in their strategy and our work with them has been rewarded with this shortlisting.

Now in its 26th year, The Supply Chain Excellence Awards were launched to recognize and reward organizations worldwide that demonstrate excellence in their supply chain operations and are renowned for the rigor of the judging process.
