Sutterton Label Printers enter new era

Sutterton Label Printers has changed its name to Sutterton Label Printers and Packaging (SLPP) to reflect the development of the business into the packaging sector, facilitated by the creation of a clean-room facility for the application of labels to various types of packaging and containers. SLPP is applying up to 1.4 million units per week. A key development being undertaken within the company is the production of 2-part labels, a project which involved close co-operation with UV lamp supplier Primarc. Trials have also been successfully completed on a 3-part label. Tony Harris, engineering manager, comments, ‘The curing of adhesives and varnishes used in the production of 2 and 3 part labels is critical.'
