Lake Image Systems unveils inspection units at Labelexpo Europe 2023

Lake Image Systems, a provider of technology for variable data verification and print quality inspection across labels, packaging and commercial print industries will showcase its latest inspection systems at Labelexpo Europe 2023.

The products unveiled at Labelexpo Europe 2023 include: Discovery PQExpress, Discovery Roll Inspector and Discovery MSExpress

Discovery PQExpress is a cost-effective and easy-to-implement print quality inspection product, that offers real-time print defect detection, encompassing missing labels, label matrix residue, die-cut errors, ink smudges, streaks, and surface imperfections such as creases, bubbling and wrinkles. Its intelligent detection algorithms rapidly identify defects while minimizing false alarms. Press operators can use the live display to quickly respond to print defects and production issues. Available in three web widths, Discovery PQExpress arrives fully configured and supported, enhancing both efficiency and label print quality assurance.

Discovery Roll Inspector is positioned between a label or packaging web printer and rewinder, this all-in-one, inline print quality inspection system includes label inspection software tools and cameras, including the latest linear scanning technology, Discovery Maxscan. Designed to identify and flag print defects like ink spots, toner streaks, voids, color variations, and image/barcode quality issues, the system also verifies barcodes, text, postal codes, MICR lines, sequence checks, alignment, data verification, and matching. It operates seamlessly in roll-to-roll, roll-to-sheet, and roll-to-fanfold setups, setting a new standard for label inspection precision.

Discovery MSExpress is designed for small to medium-scale label production environments requiring variable text, barcodes, and QR code validation. Discovery MSExpress is equipped with a mini PC and a variety of camera options. At Labelexpo Europe, Discovery MSExpress will be mounted on a Web Techniques WT-35VS Table Top Rewinder, effortlessly inspecting and validating variable data on labels running at high speeds.
