GSE offers upgrades for Colorsat Ink Systems and Ink Manager to Windows 11
The initiative will ensure GSE’s customers benefit from the enhanced security and performance.
GSE has introduced a service for upgrading its global installed base of Colorsat ink dispensing systems and Ink manager software to Windows 11. The initiative will ensure GSE’s customers benefit from the enhanced security and performance provided by the latest Windows operating system.
With Microsoft ending support for Windows 10 in 2025, this timely upgrade will protect GSE ink dispensing equipment and software from emerging cybersecurity threats, while optimizing system performance. Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) is offers modern hardware, providing a more intuitive experience, improved multitasking, and advanced security update features.
GSE upgrade service provides for a smooth migration to Windows 11, tailored to which existing operating system the customer is upgrading from. The Windows 11 Upgrade comes with the latest version of Microsoft SQLServer Express and help-functionality, based on HTML5. For Windows 10 users, this involves a SSD (solid state drive) exchange and database analysis. For those with older operating systems such as Windows 7, the service also includes conversion to GSE Ink manager software, database conversion, control hardware and operator training sessions.
Maarten Hummelen, GSE's marketing director, commented: ‘With support for Windows 10 ending in 2025, converters need to start planning their transition. An earlier upgrade to Windows 11 is the best way to ensure a smooth company-wide roll-out, keeping GSE systems secure and at the forefront of performance. Our IT specialists and engineers are committed to making this a seamless migration process, so our customers continue to achieve optimal results with our equipment and software.’
GSE will also present information about its ink dispensing and software innovations, including the Windows 11 upgrade service, at Labelexpo Americas 2024 (booth 751), at the booths of its North America distributor, UPrint Technologies.
