Transcend makes two key appointments
Transcend Packaging, a UK-based sustainable packaging company, has strengthened its team with two senior appointments. Ashley Kindred has joined as company secretary and Terry Dawson has been appointed key account manager for the UK and Europe.
Ashley Kindred, UK finance director, previously held the position of company secretary and general manager of IT and finance for 25 years at Panasonic Manufacturing UK in Cardiff and has recently come out of retirement to join Transcend. Prior to his role at Panasonic, he worked within the manufacturing consulting team at PWC for five years. His focus was consulting on long term projects within major blue-chip clients ranging from water utilities, projects with key government departments and systems implementation within the insurance sector.
Terry Dawson joins the team as key account manager, having previously worked with Coveris as its national account manager for six years. He brings with him over 20 years packaging industry experience spanning both distribution and manufacturing, and an in-depth understanding of what makes an innovative and sustainable packaging solutions business tick. Appointed to strengthen Transcend’s sales team, Dawson will work closely with the sales and marketing director, focusing particularly on the foodservice market across Europe and the UK.
‘Right now, is a truly exciting time for Transcend Packaging. In such a short amount of time the team have already achieved so much, firmly establishing themselves as a widely respected and well-known voice in the world of sustainability,’ commented Kindred. ‘The potential is massive, and as we continue to grow and develop, I have no doubt we will become true industry leaders. I am delighted to be joining a team of passionate and dedicated professionals, all working towards a common goal continuing to evolve packaging to be as harmless to the planet as possible.’
‘Increasingly, businesses are thinking about how they can be more sustainable – and for many product-led companies, packaging is an obvious steppingstone to a more sustainable future,’ added Dawson. ‘By combining my 20 plus years of experience with that of the existing Transcend team, I have no doubt we’ll be able to help many businesses, both in the UK and globally, make the important switch to recyclable and compostable materials.’
‘2022 has been a big year already for Transcend, from our recent partnership with Zume where we are opening a molded fiber facility in Europe, to numerous innovative developments to help strengthen the world of packaging. As we continue to go from strength-to-strength, we are confident Terry and Ashley will bring more than just their expertise to the team and make a positive impact on the company and the sustainable packaging sector as a whole,’ concluded Lorenzo Angelucci, CEO of Transcend Packaging.
