Weber invests in Lombardi Synchroline 530
Weber Packaging has invested in a Lombardi Synchroline 530 flexo press to expands its capabilities and increase production versatility. The installation, handled by Evolve, an Italian manufacturer’s agent in the UK, marked the first Lombardi installation in the country.
The press is installed at Weber’s 50,000 sqft factory near Edinburgh, employing more than 70 people. The installation offers the company increased capacity and adds value to the company’s product portfolio, which embraces prime printed labels, RFID, booklets, no-look, foil and embossed labels for wide-ranging markets from pharmaceuticals, chemicals and food, drink to homecare, automotive and retail.
The UK label production facility is one of the largest converting plants within the Weber Group, which operates worldwide and lists more than 50,000 companies in its customer portfolio.
Lombardi Synchroline 530 fully servo motor flexo press incorporates a Leonardo automatic turret rewinder and offers 530mm wide print capability with five colors.
