Imprimerie Ideale chooses Edale to boost position in Africa’s carton packaging market
Morocco-based converter Imprimerie Ideale has invested in an 8-color, full UV Edale FL5 Carton with an FDC-510 flatbed die-cutter for the production of folding cartons.

The FL5 press comes fully equipped with the Edale AiiR advanced register pack, which promises consistent quality and control through the print run, job data storage and recall from the camera system, as well as automatic register set-up and continuous register monitoring.
The FDC-510 flatbed die-cutter combines sheet-fed flatbed die-cutting technology with a servo driven constant tension web transport system. This offers a short set-up time of under 15 minutes, an approximate 90 percent reduction in solid rotary tooling, high productivity and speed, as well as being reconfigurable for different carton sizes and form.
Imprimerie Ideale has also opted for a film pack which enables it to print film substrates alongside cartonboard.
According to Edale, Morocco has a demanding market for food packaging and with its new FL5 press, Imprimerie Ideale is aiming to become a major carton packaging supplier in the region. The investment is to enhance the company’s capabilities in printing for the food, beverage and cosmetics industries.
Reda Moukite of Redagraph, a long-standing business partner of Imprimerie Ideale, commented: ‘Edale has a unique technological advantage with the FL5 press. The capability of printing carton and flexible packaging, on the same press with high results is a huge benefit.’
