DCM ATN to showcase advanced shrink sleeve technology at Labelexpo Southeast Asia

French manufacturer DCM ATN has confirmed it will present its next-generation shrink sleeve label production equipment at the upcoming Labelexpo Southeast Asia in Bangkok this May.

The company, which designs, manufactures, assembles and tests all machines in France, has established itself as one of the global leaders in converting equipment for the flexible packaging and label markets, specializing in slitter rewinders, doctoring rewinders and shrink sleeve machines.

At the center of DCM ATN's showcase will be the new DCM Sleeve 6 shrink sleeve seaming machine, described as 'the leading seaming machine on the market’. The fully automatic system requires minimal operator expertise while delivering exceptional precision with lay-flat width tolerance of +/- 0.15 mm and production speeds reaching 500 m/min.

According to customer feedback, the significant reduction in material waste and doctoring time has enabled users to achieve a return on investment in less than 12 months.

The modular Sleeve 6 platform comes in three configurations to meet varying production needs. The Sleeve Evo features single unwinder and rewinder components, designed as an entry-level solution for label printers entering the shrink sleeve market. The Sleeve Auto is equipped with a single unwinder and a non-stop rewinder, offering approximately 40 percent higher productivity than the Evo model. The Sleeve Intense incorporates non-stop unwinder and rewinder systems, delivering maximum production volume with approximately 60 percent higher productivity than the base model.

The modular design allows customers to upgrade their systems incrementally as production demands increase. Users can transform a Sleeve Evo into a Sleeve Auto by adding the non-stop rewinder module, and further upgrade to a Sleeve Intense with the addition of a non-stop unwinder.

DCM ATN's complementary equipment includes the DCM Babycat for quality control and doctoring operations, and the DCM Sleevecut for sleeve cutting and creating various perforation types.

The DCM team, including Jason Elvery, area manager for Asia, and Bangkok-based local representative Paul McKay, will be available to meet visitors at stand B55 during the exhibition.
