Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025 returns with focus on sustainability

The show returns to Thailand 40 percent larger than previous editions, expanding to 5,459 sqm of floor space and hosting over 190 exhibitors.

Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025, the region’s largest label and package printing event, returns to Bangkok from May 8 -10, showcasing the latest technology with a strong focus on sustainability.

Featuring over 190 of the world’s leading manufacturers, the event has grown 40 percent since its earlier iteration in 2023 and will shine a spotlight on sustainable technologies while delivering a sustainable experience to visitors.

With consumers driving the demand for sustainability, the focus on greener solutions is increasingly crucial to future-proof businesses in the global market.

‘Spotlight on Sustainability’ is Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025’s dedicated feature that aims to help visitors discover sustainable materials and innovative operational processes at the event.

Armor-IIMAK (stand B26) will promote thermal transfer ribbons, which are claimed to produce 12 percent less waste than industry-standard products.

Aqueous and PHA coating on paper cups, bowls, and boxes create eco-conscious technologies for the food industry.

Yupo (stand A36) will showcase CleanSort labels substrates, which are removed during the recycling process and carry away contaminants, ultimately enabling the packaging materials to be reused.

Another core aspect of Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025’s focus on sustainability is to inspire the labels and package printing community to embrace more sustainable practices, guided by three main pillars.

Inspiring sustainability: from procurement to the visitor experience and content, the event has sustainability embedded into every aspect. In 2025, Labelexpo Southeast Asia has partnered with Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre – BITEC, a sustainability multi-award-winning venue. The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals closely guide its commitment to sustainability and include energy saving and resource conservation.

The event is committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. In addition to prioritizing sustainability across venue, catering and recommended accommodation, Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025 has implemented various sustainability measures. These include utilizing smart badge technology to reduce paper waste; recycling event graphics; reducing plastic waste with local recycling partnerships; and establishing a carpet recycling program in collaboration with local charities, shelters and community organizations. The event is also powered by 100 percent renewable energy.

Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025’s comprehensive approach to sustainability extends to visitors’ wellbeing, providing a nursing room, a mindfulness lounge and a prayer room in a fully accessible venue. Visitors also have access to practical advice on maximizing their sustainability impact.

Richard Quirk, event manager for Labelexpo Southeast Asia, said: ‘Returning in 2025, Labelexpo Southeast Asia has cemented its position as the ASEAN region’s premier stop for label and package printing technology. We continue to serve our community by being at the forefront of the industry’s trends and shifts with sustainability clearly the next pillar of change in the industry.’

As part of the leading international events organizer, Informa, Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025 will continue to deliver sustainable experiences to our community and directly inspire our industry to continue to leave a lasting and positive impact on sustainability.’
