Herma unveils entirely linerless shipping labels
German self-adhesive technology specialist revealed the new inNo-Liner system believed to be the first practical eco-friendly solution satisfying requirement imposed by distribution centers.

The system is based on a patented adhesive and activating it micro-atomizer. In combination, this technology offers immediate and uniform adhesion.
‘Among the products known to us, the Herma InNo-Liner system is the first practical solution of its kind worldwide that satisfies the cycle speeds and other requirements imposed by logistics and distribution centers. On top of that, the label stock is compatible with multi-color preprinting,” says Herma managing director Dr Thomas Baumgärtner.
Linerless shipping labels developed by Herma, achieve the required cycle speed of around 40 A5 or A6 labels a minute. The company claims that the cost of the new system is set to be comparable to conventional self-adhesive solutions. Moreover, the liner elimination offers additional benefits to label printers such as savings on recycling traditional silicon waste, shipping weight and the necessary warehousing space.
