Durst Group receives EDP accolade for Smart Editor

Smart Editor software enables the design of personalized print products directly in the customer’s web-to-print technology.

Durst Group has been recognized with the European Digital Press Association (EDP) award for layout, design and editing with its Smart Editor software.

The EDP Technical Committee's citation, announced at drupa 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany, said Durst’s cloud-based application enables customers to ‘get exactly what they want’.

Durst Smart Editor is a cloud-based technology that allows the design of personalized print products directly using the customer’s web-to-print technology. It can be easily connected via plug-in and API. It lets users get exactly what they need with real-time product personalization and realistic previews, receiving the orders as print-ready files.

Serge Clauss, product manager for Durst Software and Solutions, said: ‘It is an honor for us to receive this award. It is further recognition of the quality of our products and the commitment of our experts.’

The EDP Association awards cover best-in-class digital printing, publishing, and packaging innovation. Established in 2006, it is a not-for-profit association promoting leading digital innovation through its major industry awards.
