LMAI anticipates bigger, strong annual conference
Label Manufacturers' Association of India (LMAI) is expecting a bigger turnout for its next bi-annual conference, taking place in Jaipur on July 16-18, with the event extended to three days in order to facilitate ‘more fruitful business discussions and better networking opportunities.’

Being held on July 16-18 at Hotel Fairmont in Jaipur, the 2015 LMAI conference is expected to attract a large audience than the previous edition in 2013, which itself recorded an increase in attendance to 390 from 240 in 2011.
The conference has also been extended from two to three days, and Vivek Kapoor, LMAI president, said: ‘We have increased the duration of the conference by one day to ensure more fruitful business discussions and better networking opportunities for converters and manufacturers attending the conference from India and overseas.’
Avery Dennison is the principal sponsor of the three-day event, while Genius Flexo Machinery, Malhotra Graphics, Reifenhauser India, Multitec, HP Indigo have confirmed sponsorships too.
Chandan Khanna, managing director of Ajanta Packaging, said: ‘The conference is a wonderful platform to meet with friends from the industry and learn about new developments. I am looking forward to attending the conference.’
Sudhir Samant, an industry veteran and consultant, said: ‘I am looking forward to meeting all 21 sponsors and listen to their presentations to learn about new technologies. It is also a great opportunity to meet all friends and colleagues from the industry.’
Harveer Sahni, managing director of Weldon Celloplast, said: ‘It is a good networking event. I expect sponsors to talk more about new technologies than their own products. It is important to impart some education at events like these to make them more meaningful.’
Sanjeev Sondhi, Zircon Technologies director, said: ‘I would like if people talk more about the growth of our industry and not only about machines and materials. I look forward to a meaningful dialog that would help the Indian label industry take the next progressive step. A session on the future of the label industry and how LMAI can play a role of a catalyst should be talked about at the conference.’
Navdeep Dadwal, vice president of sales at Malhotra Graphics, said: ‘The LMAI conference is the best way to meet and interact with the label fraternity. We are expecting one of our principals to attend the conference too.’
Amit Ahuja, sales director, Multitec, concluded: ‘It is a good networking platform. I am looking forward to having a good time.’
