Bobst UK and Ireland have raised over GBP 14,000 for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Benevolent Fund during the 2024 Bobst Charity Golf Day, marking a decade of support for DMRC and bringing the total funds raised to over GBP 100,000.

Held at the scenic Redditch Golf Club, the 2024 Bobst Charity Golf Day saw participation from 20 teams comprising Bobst employees, partners, suppliers, and customers. The event is hosted in support of DMRC Benevolent Fund, a volunteer-run charity organization that provides holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for injured members of the armed forces at DMRC Stanford Hall, Loughborough.

Neil Jones, general manager at Bobst UK and Ireland, expressed his pride: ‘DMRC Benevolent Fund is a fantastic organization and one that’s very close to our hearts. Reaching the 10-year milestone and surpassing the GBP 100,000 mark is a testament to the generosity and commitment of everyone involved.

‘The annual Bobst charity golf day is more than just a fundraiser; it's a celebration of our collective efforts to support the incredible work done at DMRC Stanford Hall. It has also become an extremely popular event among the printing industry, so we are of course deeply grateful to our sponsors, customers, partners, and participants for their amazing support.’

Allan Pinfold, technical service manager at Bobst UK and Ireland, who has been instrumental in organizing the Bobst golf day, commented: ‘This year’s event was particularly special as we celebrated ten years of fundraising for DMRC Benevolent Fund. The support from our partners and customers has been overwhelming, and their contributions have made a significant impact on the lives of the armed forces personnel who benefit from DMRCs Benevolent Fund services and support.’

Brian (George) Dent MBE operations manager DMRC Benevolent Fund, added: ‘Having a partner like Bobst for the past ten years has been invaluable, and reaching over GBP 100,000 in funds raised is an incredible achievement. The contributions from Bobst and its community have helped us to deliver support and services to injured and sick armed forces personnel during their rehabilitation at DMRC Stanford Hall.’

Bobst will continue to support DMRC Benevolent Fund as its dedicated charity of choice, and offers its sincere gratitude to the customers, suppliers and printing industry partners that have contributed to the success of the partnership to date.

Next year’s golf day is planned for Thursday June 26, 2025.
