Printcon to distribute Etirama machines in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Brazilian flexo label presses manufacturer Etirama has signed a distribution agreement with Printcon to further expand its presence in Europe, especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Etirama, which has been manufacturing printing machines for over five decades, began producing flexo presses in 1998. The family-run company has installed more than 2,000 flexo presses in 42 countries.
The company opened a sales and service office in Lisbon, Portugal, in August 2022 and then announced its plans for further expansion in Europe in 2023. Since then, the company installed machines in Spain and Greece and is motivated to mark its presence in Northern European countries.
During the last edition of Labelexpo Europe 2023, Etirama formalized an agreement with the German company Printcon to distribute its machines in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Printcon, led by Markus Pieper and Martin Vogel, represents MPS, Kento, Lundberg, Wanjie Europe, F+V and Collomix. The company's strengths are consulting printers with diverse production and processing methods to provide optimum technologies and service of narrow web equipment.
The company will now also offer the entire range of Etirama's equipment and will feature essential marketing campaigns in the coming months, further strengthening the brand's business on the European continent.
During Labelexpo Europe 2023, Etirama also launched its latest SPS3 flexo press. The servo-driven press has a 350mm web width, can be equipped with up to 10 colors and includes options such as cold foil, delam/relam, lamination, sheeter and turn bar for reverse printing.
An electronic pre-register system facilitates the production of small and medium-sized jobs with a quick and economical setup. The versatile press can run at speeds of up to 150m/min, allowing it also to handle long runs effectively.
The press features Industry 4.0 connectivity, with remote technical assistance and the ability to provide real-time information about its production.
'The SPS3, like all Etirama presses, features in its DNA a high capacity for profitability, providing a very fast return on investment,' said Ronnie Schröter, CEO of the Brazilian press manufacturer.
