British distillery opts for TPS equipment

The distillery serves many outlets in Lincolnshire County and nationally via online sales, with 50cl or 70cl bottles of alcoholic products, including gin and vodka liqueurs. 

According to TPS, the DWR Round ticked every box for the customer. It was chosen for its flexibility, compact build, ease of operation and seamless changeovers between different bottle dimensions.

The labeler can apply wraparound or front/back labels. It can also be used to apply labels in phase by reading a colored notch on the product or a previously applied label. It has a maximum label width of 200mm and is equipped with an unwind unit that accepts reels with a diameter of up to 300mm.

Other benefits include printer integration, from displaying basic information to full inkjet printing of the entire label, if required. A registration sensor can also be added as an option to apply labels in relation to a specific mark or reference on the product. 

The machine is currently applying labels on hundreds of bottles of gin a week, with the capacity to go up to 250mm/sec.
