CTA invests in Matho extraction system
Ludwigsburg, Germany-based packaging company CTA has installed Matho CB-100, an all-in-one waste extraction system to cut and convey the complete production liner waste.
Matho develops and manufactures cutter, cutter modules, and waste extraction systems designed especially for the converting, packaging, and label industries. Thanks to the modular concept, the system cuts, conveys and collects residual production waste such as edge trims or matrix in PE-bags, screw compactors, balers, static compactors, or other collection devices.
According to the company, the newly installed system enabled CTA to reduce the annual waste volume by 85 percent, introduce significant savings of transport costs and contribute to climate protection.
CTA said that after just 14 days of using the system, it had recycled one ton of liner material. The processed waste is collected by cycle4green, a company specializing in release liners recycling.
