Creation Reprographics adds Fujifilm varnish plates
UK pre-press business will manufacture Fujifilm varnish plates for offset printing applications
Creation Reprographics, a prepress partner to packaging and label printers, will manufacture Fujifilm varnish plates for offset printing applications.
With the addition of the Fujifilm varnish plate range, Creation, based in Daventry, UK, is expanding its range to the wide web and sheetfed market for the first time. This addition marks another step forward for this business, which has predominantly focused its activity on flexographic label and packaging printing to date.
The range expansion follows an agreement made in 2022 to supply Fujifilm Flenex-FW water-washable plates, which implies an important period of change for Creation.
Matt Francklow, managing director at Creation, explained: ‘Through experience and hard work, we have built our reputation as the go-to name in label and packaging repro. This means that whenever we add new products or services to our range, they have to match up to our customers’ exacting standards. For us, the decision to add Fujifilm varnish plates to our line-up was easy. Fujifilm brings the technical expertise and innovation that we look for and that our customers value. In short, Fujifilm varnish plates bring the power, stability and versatility of flexo to offset printers. The approach brings a number of operational advantages, including the elimination of stripping blankets, which improves productivity. With quality at the forefront, the plates are ideal for open intermediate depths, with contour definition that impresses every time.’
The supply of Fujifilm varnish plates further strengthens Creation’s position as a leading name in packaging and label reprographics. The business places heavy focus on sustainable products and services, designed to help printers control costs and boost quality.
The business believes that with the support and expertise of a dedicated repro partner, printers don’t need to view sustainability as a compromise in quality, speed or precision. Matt added: ‘We are thrilled to support the offset market with this class-leading technology. The challenges for printers are increasing and success in today’s market requires agility, flexibility and synergy. Incredible advancements are happening across the board, and this latest solution from Fujifilm could help to boost the offset print process and drive more value for wide format printers. We’re delighted to play our part in that.’
