Herma unveils new easy peel-off adhesive

Herma has unveiled a new thermal adhesive codenamed 42Rpp, which replaces the 42R and ensures an easy peel-off without impairing the thermal reaction and without leaving any residue.

The new Herma 42Rpp thermal adhesive ensures easy peel-off from glass, metal and plastic

The new adhesive guarantees the minimum penetration through thermal paper. Herma’s tests show that after five months and at temperatures of up to 40 °C the legibility of the label imprint remains unchanged.

No glue residue left behind after pulling the label off the surface enables new uses, including applications for high-quality, luxurious packaging. Herma was also able to noticeably minimize the tightening of the adhesive after labelling thanks to the multi-layer technology in which two adhesive layers with their own special properties are applied at the same time. This technology is not only useful for thermal labels.

The new 42Rpp has shown an impressive performance on numerous different surfaces and ensures a particularly good strippability from glass, metal and plastic. It is highly resistant to softening agents, and even after being subjected to temperatures of up to 65 °C, its peel-off properties remain guaranteed. At the same time, the 42Rpp offers optimum resistance against water, cleaning products and oils and shows no increased stickiness over time.
