Zeller+Gmelin North America, a manufacturer of printing inks, coatings and adhesives, has expanded its North American sales and service teams with the appointment of Tim Tynan as flexo national accounts sales manager and Jimmy Rider as flexo technical service manager. Erik Jacob celebrates one year anniversary as narrow web portfolio manager.
Tim Tynan comes from an ink management company, with almost two decades of sales and management experience. With over eight years in the flexo industry, Tynan’s passion is to ‘promote the creativity of press operators to produce magic on press’.
In his new role, Tynan is responsible for the growth, service, and support of Zeller+Gmelin’s national flexo accounts in the US and Canada.
As the new flexo technical service manager for North America, Jimmy Rider is responsible for sales support, press trials, transitions and troubleshooting for Z+G flexo ink in the US and Canada.
With a bachelor’s degree in business management, Rider has held numerous roles during his over 30 years in the ink industry: from manufacturing to customer support, branch manager to technical service. Rider enjoys a challenge and is often found press side, assisting printers in finding solutions and inspiring innovation.
Erik Jacob brings an extensive sales and operations background in the print and packaging markets to Zeller+Gmelin. With over 30 years of operating in packaging, working for both printers and suppliers, Jacob has a wealth of industry, application, and ink knowledge for his narrow web portfolio customers.
Jacob's expertise spans a wide range of areas, including flexo and many other narrow web print technologies, pre-press, anilox, on-press troubleshooting, process development, product development, and color consistency. His versatility is further demonstrated by his certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), which adds another dimension to his skill set.
Brian Felts, national sales manager at Zeller+Gmeli, commented: ‘We are excited to see the Zeller+Gmelin North American team grow, for both sales and service. As we continue to innovate future-forward ink and coating solutions, it is important we maintain a high level of service and support for our growing customer base. We celebrate Erik’s one year with Z+G and we look forward to the impact our newest managers, Tim and Jimmy, will make for our company, customers, and market.’
