Appvion expands EarthChem portfolio

Appvion has launched Alpha 185 E, a non-topcoated direct thermal label facestock designed with Appvion’s phenol-free chemistry.

Alpha 185 E is fully recyclable and provides higher resistance to heat, water, and alcohol. It is suitable for a variety of direct thermal applications, including distribution, logistics, and cross-docking.

Notably, Alpha 185 E is versatile for use with recyclable packaging materials that have shorter lifespans, as it can be recycled without the need to remove the label beforehand.
