Vulcan launches range of print media
German digital finishing specialist launches new brand of printing media, starting with PP film labels.
Vulcan, a German company known mostly for its digital finishing machinery, has launched LabelStock, a new brand offering a range of print media. The first product, PP film labels, is already available.
The new LabelStock brand has been launched to offer print media optimized for high demands throughout the entire process: brilliant color printing, easy processing and strong adhesion.
Vulcan originally developed the material specifically for its sheet-cutting plotter SC-350. However, it is generally suitable for all forms of processing.
‘Extensive tests have confirmed that the material offers excellent cutting quality and is easy to handle,’ said Oliver Tiedemann, managing director of Vulcan. ‘That is why we decided to make it accessible to the entire label printing industry through our specialist dealers.’
According to the company, the new product range is positioned in the lower price segment despite its premium quality.
The company said that several properties of the new range ensure particularly high process efficiency: edge-gap technology prevents adhesive residues in the printer, reducing maintenance, while the anti-curling feature enables rapid post-print processing. Lower static charge compared to other materials prevents double feeds. Additionally, the stable material is easy to weed.
Vulcan LabelStock is currently available in two variants: white synthetic PP film 87g/sqm, in glossy or matte. Sheet formats include SRA3, with DIN A3 to follow in 2025. A sample package containing 10 sheets can be ordered directly from Nepata Systems, the company behind the Vulcan brand.
