Platinum Press adds Combination Carton

Healthcare packaging supplier Platinum Press is now offering Combination Carton, a combined carton and insert whereby the insert is consolidated into the carton itself.

To guarantee quality and accuracy, every insert and carton is electronically scanned and inspected to confirm a match. A window on each carton makes inserts visible for quality assurance inspection.

Platinum Press, a supplier of healthcare packaging for the pharmaceutical, medical device and animal care sectors that specializes in labels, folding cartons, blister packaging and printed literature, said that since fewer overall packaging components are needed, the carton/insert combo ‘significantly reduces manufacturing costs’ by increasing line speeds and diminishing machine downtime.

Combination Carton will be shown by Platinum Press at Interphex, an event for pharmaceutical and biotech professionals, alongside its 266-Panel Outsert, which allows for an expanded number of panels that, in turn, yields a significant increase in copy space for necessary product information and instructions.

‘Platinum Press’ Combination Carton is the ideal solution to combine printed leaflets with a carton,’ said Andrew Vale, Sr, vice-president of corporate strategy and development at Platinum Press.

‘Consolidating two or more printed components to reduce complexity has many benefits: increased line speeds, reduced downtime, and improved overall packaging efficiency and effectiveness. The Combination Carton reduces cost, streamlines inventory and increases production.’
