Spear creates PS labels for leading US beverage brand
US converter Spear has provided the labels for Mike’s Hard Punch. Since the introduction of malt flavored beverage Mike’s Hard Lemonade in 1999, the Seattle-based company has grown to be a leading flavored alcoholic beverage brand in the USA.
Mike’s Hard Punch is a range of fruit based malt beverages containing natural juices. Spear has created a clear, pressure-sensitive label using a 4-color screen/flexo combination print. The finished package demonstrates a no-label look resulting in a bold and eye-catching design.
Mike’s popularity continues to rise and in 2010 the product line grew by 23 percent, exceeding 1.2 million barrels. Founder Anthony von Mandl said: ‘One of the fundamental goals and objectives with Mike’s was, and always has been, to create an American icon in the beverage business that becomes a part of America’s everyday fabric.’
