Edale, a Canon company, a manufacturer of high-quality flexographic carton and label presses, has confirmed its upcoming 'Rethinking carton production' event for converters on Tuesday June 24, 2025, at its headquarters in Fareham, Hampshire, England.

The event, officially titled ‘We Are Rethinking Carton Production: Be part of the conversation’, will give attendees the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and discover how a single-pass carton production line can unlock new commercial potential in the fast-evolving packaging market.

Whether an established carton converter or new to the industry and wanting to explore new revenue opportunities, this educational and hands-on event will offer valuable insights into the full carton production process.

James Boughton, managing director at Edale, said: ‘Packaging businesses of all sizes are under pressure to reduce their work in progress, adapt to industry trends and keep up with the latest requirements as well as deliver faster, reduce costs, and be more profitable.

‘Our event will create a collaborative forum where professionals can engage in meaningful conversations about the evolving carton production industry. We invite attendees to share their perspective, their own experiences, and expertise.

‘In addition to informative talks and networking opportunities, our Edale team will also show a live demonstration of how single-pass systems like the FL5 can help businesses respond to today’s challenges while preparing for tomorrow’s growth.’

The event will also include an expert-led session from Jo Stephenson, managing director of Think B2B Marketing. Stephenson will share insights into the packaging industry’s trajectory, including looking at the ever-growing influence of AI and the evolving regulatory challenges. Other industry speakers are still to be confirmed.

The day is designed to be informative and interactive, offering a practical look at the carton production process from print through to finishing.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to see the Edale FL5 in action first-hand and discover the mechanics and commercial advantages of single-pass production, including how it can reduce setup time, waste, WIP and labor, all while delivering premium-quality cartons with inline embellishments such as reverse print, lamination, cast and cure, varnish, emboss, drip off varnish, cut and crease, and stripping.
