MBR Flexibles invests in two Mark Andy presses

Both flexographic presses have been purchased through Flexo Image Graphics, Mark Andy’s distributor in the region.

Ahmedabad, India-based MBR Flexibles, a division of MBR group, has installed Mark Andy 2200 and Mark Andy Evolution Series E5, to bolster its printing and production capabilities for labels and flexible packaging. Both flexographic presses were purchased through Flexo Image Graphics (FIG).

MBR Group was established in the 1960s when the company’s business revolved around dye chemicals, textile auxiliaries, and bulk intermediates. MBR Flexibles was created in 2010, with one unit engaged in flexible packaging manufacturing and another focused on label printing.

Sahil Chopra and Yash Chopra are directors of the label printing unit, whereas, Siddharth Chopra, Sagar Chopra and Mohit Chopra head the flexible packaging division. Both units cater cost-effective, durable, sustainable range of products for their F&B clients.

Currently, MBR Flexibles produces 900 to 1,000 tons of flexible packaging products every month. The company boasts of a wide portfolio of machines, other than the two Mark Andy machines.

'These two flexographic presses, supplied by FIG are best-in-class machines in terms of their significant capacities, performances, values and outputs,' mentioned Sahil Chopra. 'Designed and engineered with upgraded technologies for efficiently handling maximum print width up to 17in, these two Mark Andy presses are capable of handling all jobs, right from self-adhesive labels to shrink sleeve and in-mold (IML) labels and more.'

He further emphasized that the installations of the two Mark Andy presses will allow the company to enhance volume and flexibility in label and flexible packaging printing and production.

'Earlier, we had invested in a number of machines through FIG, which included a Rhyguan Smart 450 slitter-rewinder and others,' shared Sahil Chopra. 'We continue our investments in new machines in partnership with FIG, such as the two Mark Andy presses, because we are happy with the quality of products and unprecedented after-sales support it provides.'

To help its customers across India, FIG operates a customer support department at its main office in Delhi as well as branches in Mumbai and Chennai. In addition to Mark Andy and Rhyguan, FIG also distributes machines from Rotoflex, Kluge, KDS Quantum, Presstek, DYM Machinery, and more.

Backed by a team of 200 printing and production staff, MBR Flexibles is moving ahead for further expansion. According to Sahil Chopra, the company is preparing to purchase more equipment through FIG to foray into new segments of the market.
