Jindal Films installs high barrier metallizer at its Brindisi plant
With the new metallizer, the company aims to increase Sustainable Films production capacity.
Jindal Films has installed a new metalizer at its Brindisi plant in Italy. JFE aims to increase its metalization capacity with the metalizer, enabling the company to support the growing demand for recyclable barrier BOPP and BOPE films.
The new metalizer, with a width of over 3.7 meters, was installed in late 2024 and is now fully operational. This marks a significant milestone in JFE's ongoing commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-quality, sustainable films. With this new line, JFE will continue to grow its diverse portfolio of high-barrier metalized films, further expanding Alox-LyteTM and Ultra-High-Barrier products and broadening the range of Ethy-LyteTM metalized films.
Manfred F. Kaufmann, CEO of JFE, commented: 'We are thrilled to increase our slit metalized film capacity with a clear focus on high barrier products, now reaching 2.000MT/m. This new metalizer strengthens our commitment to providing sustainable, recyclable packaging films. Customers increasingly embrace our metalized BOPP and BOPE films and our Alox-LyteTM product range to help create mono-material, fully recyclable packaging structures.'
This installation is a crucial step in JFE's strategy to support the growing demand for high-quality, sustainable films while contributing to a circular economy. By further expanding its metalized film offerings, JFE continues developing innovative packaging products that meet performance and environmental goals.
