Heidelberg makes changes to optimize global sales

- Harmonization in industrial regions and expansion in emerging markets

- Marcel Kiessling takers on overall responsibility for changes

Heidelberg is to restructure its sales organization and adapt it to changing market conditions to ensure standardized and professional support for customers worldwide, and to do so with the greatest possible efficiency.

The sales and service processes in the industrial regions will be harmonized and more strongly centralized, while the company’s presence in emerging markets such as China, India, Russia and Brazil is to be further expanded.

Heidelberg said these measures are designed to further strengthen its market position in growth areas, which it said are expected to produce around 40 percent of the global sheet-fed offset print volume in the future, while maintaining a strong focus on the industrialized nations, which will continue to produce around two-thirds of the print volume in the future.

As of June 1, Marcel Kiessling (pictured, top) has assumed overall responsibility for these measures. He is thus responsible for all customer contacts with the sales and service functions as well as the consumables business.
