ABG reaches 2500 Vectra turret rewinders sold
Manufacturer's growth highlights global demand and paves the way for a new product launch
A B Graphic International (ABG), has recently reached a major milestone having sold 2500 Vectra turret rewinders. Notably, 500 rewinders have been installed within the last three years alone. Since its inception in 1995, Vectra has become the preferred choice for numerous self-adhesive label manufacturers worldwide.
ABG's Vectra turret rewinders comprise three advanced models: the entry-level ECTR, the 4-spindle HDTR and the SGTR Autoset. Developed over years of collaboration with customers to meet their specific requirements, these rewinders boast a design, engineering and capability that have been thoroughly tested and proven.
The Vectra turret rewinders offer significant versatility, allowing seamless in-line or stand-alone operation with a separate unwind module. Able to significantly reduce lead times, inventory and waste, the servo-driven rewinders feature precise tension control, ensuring smooth and reliable operation across a wide range of substrates, including delicate, perforated or punched products. ABG offers customizable options to tailor Vectra rewinders to individual needs, providing a clear and competitive advantage for any business.
ABG's Vectra models, currently manufactured at the company's Middleton on the Wolds site, are set to relocate to a new state-of-the-art facility in Kelleythorpe, near the company's Bridlington headquarters. This strategic move will enable increased production capacity and shorter lead times. Coinciding with this relocation is the launch of a new Vectra model at Labelexpo Europe 2023, where ABG will formally introduce the next generation of highly automated turret rewinders. These models will be available in both hot melt glue (Vectra G) and glueless (Vectra) variants.
Commenting on the achievement, Matt Burton, global sales director, said: 'The installation of 2500 Vectra units signifies our global presence and the exceptional professional relationships we have built with key customers.'
'We now eagerly look forward to the launch of our new Vectra models, which will provide our customers with enhanced operational efficiencies for the future.'
