Toyo Ink strengthens position in Europe
France-based Toyo Ink Europe Specialty Chemicals has absorbed two other consolidated subsidiaries of the Toyo Ink Group in the country, in a move to consolidate the companies’ operations and facilitate business expansion in Europe.
The absorption-type merger has seen Toyo Ink Europe and Toyo Ink Europe Plastic Colorant dissolved, with Toyo Ink Europe Specialty Chemicals the surviving business. The merger is effective as of November 1.
Toyo Ink Europe engaged in the sale of specialty chemical products, including pigments, inkjet inks, pressure-sensitive adhesives, adhesives and related products; printing inks; printing-related materials; and industrial products. Toyo Ink Europe Plastic Colorant engaged in the manufacture and sale of plastic colorants and compounds.
With this three-company merger, the Toyo Ink Group is seeking to strengthen its ability to make proposals to customers and the management base through the coordination of the companies’ functions, and to accelerate the group’s business expansion in European countries.
There will be no impact on the Toyo Ink Group’s consolidated business results for this term as this is a merger between consolidated subsidiaries.
