India gets first Pantec RHINO
India’s first Pantec RHINO machine has been installed at Pragati Pack in Hyderabad by Vinsak.
Hemanth Paruchuri, director at Pragati Pack, said: ‘We saw a live demo of Pantec RHINO at Labelexpo India 2016. It fits perfectly with our existing infrastructure. We primarily intend to use this machine for enhancing embellishments onto wine and cosmetic labels. The flatbed systems and high pressure will allow us to add a lot of value to our offerings and give us access to niche markets.’
Ranesh Bajaj, director at Vinsak India, Pantec’s exclusive distributor in India, said: ‘The best part about this machine is that you can attach it on to any printing press and complete printing as well as finishing in one go. It will save turnaround time while producing high quality finishing.’
RHINO II is an in-line flatbed embosser with foiling and hologram in-setting units. It has a revolvable foil head to apply foil across and in web direction. It operates at a speed of up to 25,000 cycles an hour for multi-stepping designs. These seven strokes per second allow production at high speed with cost-effective tools, it is said. The machine also accommodates two foil stepping servo levels for independent patterns and six individually controllable heating zones for maximum flexibility in heat management on demanding multi-step designs.
